Saving Spring

I bought these cheap off Ebay this week! I owned several of them when I was a child and when I saw these again, I noticed that they covered the topics of gardening and nature. That might explain why I don’t remember the storylines; I think the process of growing is something of more interest to an adult.

My time was spent in Rainbow Land – a fantasy filled with magic and color. I never thought much about Rainbow Brite’s duties or how Strawberry Shortcake was a fruit. Any concentration I had was spent listening for that chime so I would know when to turn the page.

I never thought that I would painstakingly fuss over every color and variety of plant. What happened to the convenient sprites who cheerily mined star sprinkles?

Dammit.
